The Basic DynamicLTA module is not designed to auto-process VAT.  An easy to use built-in VAT Calculator is included.

This means that if you use DynamicLTA Basic for a lawyer who is registered for VAT, inclusive and exclusive amounts can still be easily calculated.

This means that with only the amount and the applicable VAT Tax Rate, the net amount, gross amount, or the VAT portion can be calculated.
